Immediate prayer need

            Thank you so much for your prayers. This country has lots of problems. Strong fundamental group wants to take over the country. They burned over 200 vehicles (buses, trucks etc) for last two weeks. They removed the fish plate from the rail line and as a  result five trains derail. They throw petrol bombs etc. and  burn people live. Last one month I was not able to get out on the road. We have been blocked every day except Friday (Muslim day of prayer). Prices of food have gone very high. Because of these troubles people are interested to know our Lord. One whole villager wants to come to the Lord. Our evangelist went again and again, they want to know more about our Lord. I planed twice to go there but have to cancell because of blocked roads. I know the Lord will do the best for us.
            I allowed some of the kids to go to their village and plan to take some of them to my home. My plan is try to travel tomorrow (Friday) to my home.

            Thank you so much for your prayer. We have given this calendar to the hundred of Muslim. I invited them for a cup of tea and gave them as a Christmas gift. They appreciated that.

            Thank you so much for your prayer and support of our ministry. You are holding the rope and we are in the pit. The Lord is with us.

• DIFFICULTY GETTING GOVERNMENT APPROVAL FOR EXPANSION.

This is a phenomena that only God could have done.

This ministry has planted over 5,000 churches in Cuba in the past 12 years.
This is more than one church a day for the past 12 years.    
(365 x 12years   =   4380).

 Pastor Phil Howard and a team from Valley Bible Church toured Cuba last year to see this God-driven phenomena.  

Yet their need is great:

PRAY FOR MANNY:       Two months ago Manny had emergence surgery for intestinal problems.  He went to the hospital just 36 hours before he was to leave for an overseas trip.  He was hospitalized for a week.

PRAY FOR THE MINISTRY:         Their ministry presently has a $25,000 a month shortfall.
PRAY FOR THEIR VISION:           They are waiting on God to increase their church-planting in the next 3 years to 10,000 new churches and in 10 years to 100,000.

Praise God for His wonderful work in Cuba!

     Additional ministries including training of public school teachers to teach the Word of God to children.  Thousands have been taught.

Dr. Bhatia is the President of this ministry. The ministry provides pastoral training at the North India Institute of Theological Studies. He also heads Bible translation projects and trains translators in Hindi and Punjabi languages. Vinita Bhatia also teaches at the school and is an author. 

 

Dr. Bhatia has need of prayer for health issues.  Added to this he carries the load of leading this major endeavor. This is a significant ministry and requires a major commitment.
